New song "BREAK MY STRIDE" and likely album tracklist

Hey there scamps. We have fully recorded our album I reckon. There might be a few bits to do here and there but it's basically done. We haven't done much for the past few weeks because Jimi has gone away travelling. We'll probably release it when he gets back. Here is another one from it, it's a simple little ditty we call "Break My Stride".

and here is how the album will probably look:

Brick Challenge
Pocket Thief
Long Time Dead
Mother's Pies
Rickety Bones
Can Be Gone
Messy Bones
Peace Of Mind
This Warm Stage
Tactical
Slapstick Crime Routine
Pear Tree
Break My Stride
Bloody Nose

Grape Diggers on THESIXTYONE (+ another new song)

Hey scouts we've got this 61 swing style up and running where people heart songs and our popularity is boosted somewhat. You can also download them. It'd be swell if you could all go over there and heart our songs. There is a new song called "Pocket Thief" up and it needs fueling up the charts so we can rub shoulders with Cher and The Jonas Brothers.

See the "new" tab on there? That's where the latest songs appear. I will try to add at least one new one a week until we run out or get stopped in our tracks by the bandwidth police.

Brick Challenge

Here's another new track for all you gorgeous people. It's called Brick Challenge and it's probably one of our most experimental tracks ever. The new album is pretty much done.

Rickety Bones

Here's a brand new song for all you lovely people. It's called Rickety Bones and will be on our next album. Jimi provides the lead vocal with Crust piping in to join him part way through. The entire song is based around a looped section of a jam we recorded on tape. It's a long one.

New album in the works

We're currently laying down some bits for a new Grape Diggers album. Some of the songs have been kicking around without a home for years, some are brand new spontaneous creations. It's hard to tell how long it will take but we're stepping up the pace due to the fact we won't all be living together next year. We've come to realise that the true Grape Diggers sound comes out when we jam freely, improvise and play off each other so there's more focus this time is to capture that kind of energy.

New Album!

It's finally here, the 2nd Grape Digging Sharon Fruits full album "It's Way Past Your Bedtime". We've been recording songs on and off since 2005 and decided that we have enough for another album. If you've been keeping up to date with the Diggers then you may recognise a good few of these tracks, but there should definitely be a few surprises in store.

  1. Foliage
  2. Man-Made Reservoir
  3. Absynth Treacle Party
  4. Cock-A-Knee John
  5. Instrumental
  6. Lemonade Man
  7. Freight Train
  8. Boxing Day
  9. Smiling Pete
  10. Traveling Mind
  11. Shouting At Cars
  12. Story Tape
  13. Taxeby Morris
  14. Agents Of Despair
Of course it's free of charge and available from 3 professional downloading locations. If you still feel guilty about downloading intentionally free music then you can help us by forcing our music on to as many people as you can (like the radio does) or just by telling everyone you know to come here download it. The main players on this album are: David Firth, Christian Pickup, Paul Mackenzie and Callum Whitely with notable contributions from Jimi Hollis, Adam France, Finbar Mallon and Warren. It was all recorded in bedrooms, when we felt like it for a budget of nothing and at no point did it ever seem like hard work.

In other news, we will be compiling an album of dirty tape sessions in the near future that we recorded between 2003 and 2008. The songs will be messy, the quality will be varied and some of the tracks will seem to go on forever, but it's a more honest side of a band not known for their professionalism, but more for their hazy tape recordings and mild banter.
